The current legislation requires all drivers of company vehicles (including cars and light commercial vehicles) to carry out and record a daily defect check to ensure their vehicles are in a fit condition at all times. Failure to use defect records correctly or at all can result in fines and further investigation which could put your operators licence at risk.
All staff who use a company vehicle whether as part of their daily duties or only as required. In addition to drivers all supervisors or managers required to monitor the reporting of defects will benefit from this training.

Legal obligations of the workshop
Vehicle inspection routine
Vehicle inspection checklist
Completion of records
This course can take place in our Team valley training centre, at your premises or at an agreed suitable location.
Number of Delegates
There is no restriction on the number of delegates on this course however the number will increase the duration of the practical elements of the course. For up to 10 delegates this training will last half a day. Up to 20 may take up to a full day.
Certification / Qualification
Each candidate will be assessed to ensure they have a clear understanding and provided with a certificate upon completion.
