Driver’s Responsibilities.
You must:

Ensure the
correct functioning and proper use of the recording equipment and driver card.

Have with
you sufficient digital paper rolls / analogue charts.

Where you
are employed by, or at the disposal of, more than one transport undertaking,
provide sufficient information to each undertaking to enable the rules to be
complied with.

If the rules
have been broken because of an emergency, indicate the reason by making a
written maual entry.
Be
able to produce at the roadside:
-
Your Drivers
Card if you hold one.

The charts
for the current fixed week and the last 15 calendar days.
-
any legally
required written records or printouts for the current fixed week and the
previous 15 calendar days.
This will change on the 1st
of January 2008 to the current day and the previous 28 calendar days.
Training:
The driver is
ultimately responsible for ensuring he knows the drivers hours regulations and
how to use the tachograph – analogue or digital. The employer is responsible for
making sure the driver is doing it correctly!
